About Us (well, me)

Zoe Lautz is the artist behind Moxie Designs. She currently lives in the Twin Cities, MN with her adorable dog Noah!

Zoe has been creating art since she was a wee babe, fostered by her parents and elementary school teacher. She learned to sew quite young, around age 6, and it has been a lifelong hobby ever since. Beginning with cross stitch and embroidery, Zoe took up quilting later in life, just as the COVID pandemic was about to hit. What started as a way to stay sane in an unknown world became a new form of self expression, beginning with her collage quilted piece, "Sandra", which was accepted as a part of a quilt exhibit in response to the killing of George Floyd. Following this, her piece "That Curvy Girl" was accepted into the MN State Fair Fine Arts exhibit in 2023. Since then, she has been creating and selling still life and portraiture works at art markets across Minnesota.
